Like the look of this home?
The plans were complete, boundaries & expectations were set, it was time to turn this stunning dream into a reality – It was C&C’s time to shine.
This project was one to push the boundaries & create something truly stunning with a creative team of professionals.
With the full demolition of the interior & roof lasting just 2 weeks, it was time to erect a full scaffold & wrap which would only come down & reveal the beauty once the exterior was completed.
The direction was to keep the existing bones of the garage and ground floor & add a whole new level to the top & dress it in Vertical Abodo.
With details throughout the build, this was one to test the crafting skills of many trades, C&C loved their creative role throughout this project transforming this into a real life master piece.
The middle level was to be predominantly the living area with a large custom skylight releasing natural light over a very tall 2 levels at the entry & stairwell.
It also contained a family room, guest bedroom with ensuite, toilet, office & an open plan kitchen dining flowing onto a same level outdoor area including a generous backyard & pool.
Upstairs housed the 3 kids bedrooms, large main bathroom, a large attic space and of course the master bedroom with ensuite & walk-in wardrobe. The master had beautiful Western views out towards the pool & backyard, as well as the chance to be opened up to the bottom level with sliding doors through a void space.
The chance to bounce ideas between the builder, the lovely clients & talented Adam & Jon from Matter architects created a great dialogue & ensured the best result was achieved.
There were plenty of evolving changes made which are all part of the renovation process, only clear once into the building process itself.
The stunning vertical Abodo vulcan cladding created an amazingly tall effect and was a worthy uniform for a house of this scale & beauty.
The cladding was unified with a vertical green wall at the entry and landscaped seamlessly by Babylon gardens & Colossal.
Fast Forward to the unveiling & it did not disappoint at all. The transformation was unrecognisable as this 3 storey front gable entry was a statement to say the least.
The end result was extremely pleasing to all & the clients were very happy to be in their forever home & the 3 girls + dog could settle in and take over the residence again & the house would become the talk of the town!
